The Eyes Have It

I am an eye person. Typically they are the first things I notice about a person. There's not much of a chance that I would ever get tired of looking at someone with nice eyes.

A British poet once said, "The EYES have one language everywhere. " Isn't that so true? I've been studying my little people's eyes.

Brigham

Hunter

Seth
Not a bloodshot eye among them. (That's why I didn't include a picture of my eyes. I couldn't get one that didn't show how pathetically bloodshot they are. Once I asked Hunter what color his dad's eyes were. He studied them closely and declared them pink!) Fun, huh? Have you looked at your people's eyes lately?

Yes, as a matter of fact, I have looked at my little person's eyes. Since she was born, it has amazed me how white the whites of her eyes are. They are almost blue, they are so white! It amazes me- and makes mine look like I have Hep C or something.

I love my lil'uns eyes too. I love Caleb's because they twinkle, especially when he's plotting something mischevious. I love Ashlynn's because they're identical to her daddy's. Maggie's are so different from her siblings, they're a pretty blue. Its funny you just posted this because just after school today I was noticing how big the "blue" is in Mag's eyes.

Hi Brenda, this is Samantha Cheney. I don't know if you remember me, but I'm Liz Wood's friend, or cousin that used to come over and do your card night. I can't believe that you can find the time with three little boys, one being a newborn, to blog everyday. Props to you! You are an amazing inspiration to me and I hope you don't mind me checking out your blog. Your boys are darling. You had just barely had your second baby the last time I saw you. I can't believe how much Brigham and your new little Seth look like Matt. I love Matt's music and it is so neat that you have that to hold dear. I found your blog through Alicha Mills. Thanks for your inspiration to hold on to the things that our dear. Your boys are lucky to have you as their mom. Take care!

Brenda, your eyes have always been my favorite of your physical features! I love the way they shine when you laugh or smile, or the flash when you are angry at some injustice especially to others. There's also that sparkle when you are thinking of some really good "scheme". Remember the day we went to see Dr. Ficktenburg just before you got your tonsils out? I think you were 14 or so. He walked into the room, his first time meeting you, and the first words out of his mouth were: "Such beautiful eyes!" He went on to say that he didn't see eyes so clear and bright on teenagers anymore. I have not enjoyed seeing them so sad, but they are still beautiful.

I agree with your mom. You have gorgeous eyes-always thought so. They're actually distracting sometimes-like I can't remember what I was going to say when I start looking at them!
