Decisions, Decisions

I just had an epiphany. A couple of days ago, a person who shall remain nameless (and who does not read this blog) made a decision that negatively impacted me and I have felt really hurt by it. But I just realized, mere moments ago, that it is okay. That person made a decision based on what they think is best for them and their life. I make decisions all the time based on what I think is best for me and my life. I can't fault someone else for their decisions, even the hurtful ones, any more than I want to potentially be faulted for the decisions I make. If I want complete freedom to choose for myself (that which I can actually control in my life), I have to give others that same freedom, even if it makes me feel bad. I can't expect others to choose the way I want them to any more than I want someone else making my choices for me. Am I rambling? I think so.

On an unrelated yet ironic note, I notice that just since last night someone has "unfollowed" my blog. And that's okay. Just as I would want the option of unfollowing a blog that was no longer filling a need it did at one point, so also do each of you have the option of unfollowing blogs...It's your decision, and that's okay.

Why would a person "unfollow" a blog? Like its too much commitment? people kill me. It was so much fun to see you when you were here. Kiss the Cutest Baby on the Planet for me.

I've been reading a great book that talks about this very thing, "Real Love" by Greg Baer.

Shoot! I just got back from Barnes and Noble. I'll have to check that one out next time.

FYI readers, I have no idea who unfollowed my blog, I just noticed the number changed. This wasn't a personal attack on whoever it was!

You know- Mom and I were just talking about decisions people make this evening. I told her "You know- if people make crappy decisions regarding their wedding and clothing...I've learned to say 'it's okay- not my life, not my wedding'," etc. So, you make a good point. Still sucks how some people make such dumb decisions.

Also, I was reminded once again of one of the many reasons why I love you. You refer to the store by its correct name. I hate it when people say "I seen (mistake 1) at Barnes and Nobles (mistake 2)." UGH!

So true! I just noticed you updated your profile and I love what you wrote. You have a way with words and I just love reading what you type.

Oh, and I just started following your blog even though technically I have been following it from the beginning. For some reason, I never think to actually "follow" blogs. :)

Just to let you know it happened to a ton of bloggers when they changed the follow friends deal so it was probably that glitch since it happened so much across the board and not someone "unfollowing" you! Just FYI or I truly suck because I lost like 5 then gained four and lost one....things that make you hmm...

I am now a new follower on your blog. Lose one gain another, right?
