I read in a magazine a long time ago that there is a shade of red lipstick for everyone. I'm typically a play-up-the-eyes-go-subtle-on-the-lips person, but I decided yesterday that, considering how often lately I'm without makeup completely, it might be fun to go with bare eyes and bold red lips. So last night after I was sure I was home for the night, I put on what I was hoping would be my perfect shade of bold red lipstick. It wasn't perfect, but it earned a nod from Hunter nonetheless: "Hey, cool lips!" he said.
(Incidentally, both Brigham and Hunter went to sleep last night with a pair of red lips in the middle of their foreheads. Brigham just noticed his. "Uh, mom, I noticed you left a red mark on my head last night...")

I have yet to find my perfect shade of lipstick. Especially red. I just don't think one exists for me. :(
I wore red lipstick for like 3 months and every one of the pictures was just UGLY! SO I do not think I have a perfect shade of red! I love your stories. You are a great mom! I loved getting to see and visit with while you were in AZ.
I have still after all these years not managed to master lipstick. I inevitably somehow rub, eat, or otherwise lose it in a matter of about 2 minutes.
I love your little stories! They make me smile! I don't do lipstick at all, lip gloss for special events, but mostly just chapstick! I am sure that says something about me but I don't know what.
I think you should post a picture of your red lips and let us decide...I bet you looked beautiful, if not your kids would have told you so...they can be so dang honest sometimes..
I love lipstick. I have eye shadow issues-always feel like a clown.
I think you should go with a brownish-red. Lots of reds end up with an orange tint which is nasty on everyone.
